Feliz Navidad

The periodo navideño is associated with looking back on the good things throughout the year, and I wanted to take this oppurtunity to marvel at the fact that we who post here have been friends for a decade now, and though we are spread all over the country, our friendship has found ways to endure. For me that has probably been the greatest reward of the graduate school process and one of the things I am giving thanks for this year.

Un fuerte abrazo a todos.

Well said. But did you have to use the "d" word? You know you're getting old when you start measuring time in decades.

Well said, indeed. It would be nice to get together again in the near future. Has anybody considered the U of Cincinnati Romance langs. conference in May? It is open to all fields. Of course, given that we had to cancel our French search, it might be difficult to find the money to get there.

Here's to a decade of friendship. I think it is only fitting that we should meet in Trona for our celebration. Perhaps we can get a Romance Languages conference going there...

Yes, it's been a wonderful association with ya'll. Here's to ten more years! I have considered Cincinnati, but it is right around graduation time at Lyon. Did you get the call for papers for Benito's gig at Dominguez? He says he will publish some of the papers (like Cincinnati).
