Real Tenure?

Here is something I may have posted before but probably good to read again in light of recent discussions on tenure and job security. For the record, my institution is actually seeing record enrollments and we have a new president who seems to understand what the college needs and is willing to go after it. The college is also now ranked with top-tier liberal arts schools (for whatever that is worth) so I temper my recent criticisms with some good news.
