Ottawa anyone?
I just found this CFP for the Canadian Society for Renaissance Studies to be held in Ottawa in May. Today is the submission deadline. I'd like to go, pending acceptance and funding.
What exactly is the travel situation at Cal State? Are they still funding one conference per faculty member per year or have there been no funds at all this year?
It's traditionally been two per year for tenure track faculty, and I'm getting two this year, but I'm sure that will all end in the next academic year.

Sounds great, but I think our travel budget has been completely axed for this year.
Yeah, I have to pay my own way to Rio. What a @&%$ing drag.

Kent, I guess the one consolation of having to pay your own way (which does suck) is that you will be in Brazil...and not Trona.
I don't know that there is a uniform rule for travel across the CSU. In any case I still think Trona 2010 should be our goal.
Writing camp in Trona? Instead of fishing we could go mineral hunting. I smell a successful outing.
I like Mike's pun on "Trona" and "smell."
Count me in. I'll bring a six-pack of cow urine to keep us hydrated.
